Arachne’s Quilting specializes in semi-dense, computerized quilting. We offer the precision of computerized with the high-end look and durability of tighter quilting all while maintaining the drape and snuggleability we all love in a homemade quilt.

Computerized all over edge-to-edge:

A single design will be chosen to sew on the entire quilt. The design and thread color will be selected to work with the fabrics and overall composition of the quilt top. A pattern may be chosen from our existing designs, or a new design may be purchased for an additional $5 (designs typically cost around $15, so you will be covering a small portion of adding the design to my collection for your specific quilt).

Cost: $0.03 per square inch

$70 minimum for smaller projects, which helps compensate for the time spent loading and unloading the quilt
Extra cost per square inch for especially dense quilting – the base price covers fairly dense designs, so this would only apply in rare and special instances
Additional small fee for specialty thread, like variegated

Sample estimates (will vary based on design and specific size of quilt top):

Computerized semi-custom quilting:

A single design will be selected for the majority of the quilt, with additional design(s) chosen for selected areas of the quilt top. This will allow for a more custom look without the cost of traditional custom quilting. Cost will largely vary based on design.

Base cost: $0.05 per square inch

$100 minimum for smaller projects, extra small projects may be less upon consultation
Includes design consultation to discuss patterns
Additional small fee for specialty thread, like variegated

Batting:

Customers are welcome to submit their own batting with their quilt. For convenience, we offer queen size Quilters Dream batting by the yard in multiple materials. King batting is available prepackaged. Additional options may be special ordered, but wait times will be longer.
